I know my family had links to slavery. My family were enslaved people so were raped by master... so I've got the blood of the enslavers and colonizers in my veins as a Puerto Rican.

This is actually true. I guess like most people here in Oklahoma who are native to the area, probably have some sort of Native American heritage. I am part Seminole & part of the Freedmen community that coexisted with the Seminole. The Seminoles part of my blood actually had slaves. The Freedmen.

America is very complicated. We have to recognize our history. We didn't do what our ancestors did, I'm neither enslaved, enslaver nor colonizer. I was born here. I had no say in the past I'm not going to deny it happened. I'm damn sure going to have a say in this country's future.
