This actually goes beyond the end of Affirmative Action. Black students wouldn't need it, if they came from decent high schools which could give them a quality education. They would have those schools, if majority Black districts had the revenue to do it.

Been hearing a lot of takes about the fall of Affirmative Action from white folks, especially the refrain "I wouldn't mind it being overturned if legacies were also ended." Even without legacy admissions, systemic, institutionalized racism is STILL a reality👇🏾

Majority Black districts would have the revenue for better schools if there were better paying jobs in and around their neighborhoods. Those jobs would exist if billionaires would be taxed and the money invested in those neighborhood to raise the quality of life.

Black districts can't generate the necessary tax revenue because the value of homes in these areas is lowered, because they are undervalued compared to similar White-owned home in majority White neighborhoods. It's all a maelstrom of systemic racism, that hurts Black people at every turn!

In response to Nefarious Newt.
Systemic racism & the racial wealth gap has been killing us for endless generations. Even with the playing fields being uneven as fuck, we've worked to prove ourselves 3 times harder than any mediocre white man and had successes -- but we're still playing catch-up.
