Yes. The Depression was resolved by the New Deal, known colloquially as "The American Dream." The GOP has returned us to pre-Depression days. Ironically, the only politician who warned us that this was happening was another Republican--Eisenhower.

It’s hard to believe but Carter and Reagan ran on the same platform 76 & 80 deregulation, smaller gov etc, Carter’s why the second NE corridor rail line got removed, that said Reagan was a monster
