Have you been able to avoid getting Covid?

It hit some family in Newfoundland earlier in the year and my sister-in-law in Toronto is currently positive.
I'm seriously afraid of it because of my cancer and asthma and lots of medical folk are very lax in their hygiene.

I have had Covid

I have not had Covid

My young daughter caught it this year. We were both vaxed but she got it. I took care of her 24/7 and she even slept in my room and I never got it. However, you come within 10ft of me with strep throat and I’m doomed.🤦‍♀️

That doesn't sound like fun, very lucky you didn't get it too, and glad to know that everyone is well recovered? Now it's only worry about re-infection and developing one of the sets of long covid symptoms. :)

She is young and healthy so hopefully we won’t have to worry about long term problems. But I will say I think it would’ve been worse if we hadn’t been vaxed. The first two days were definitely the sickest she had ever been up to that point. A month later she got the flu…. Now that was hell.
