I saw Robert Altman’s NASHVILLE (1975) at the Paris Theater in NYC today.

What a treat to hear cheers for Shelley Duvall, big laughs for Geraldine Chaplin, and lengthy applause at the end.

Guest Ilene Starger mentioned in her intro that this perfectly cast film has no credited casting director!

Michael Murphy's birthday is a good time to remind everyone that TANNER '88 is streaming on Criterion Channel.

Robert Altman and Garry Trudeau's series about a presidential candidate manages to spoof Reality before it was a genre.

Part mockumentary, part soap, all catnip for politics junkies.
