Got injured at work (minor thing) the nurse that guided through my case however sounded like Danny DeVito. I kept picturing him while we spoke on the phone.

Dear, Democratic Party. I get that you want donations, but Lizz Cheney is NOT the friend you think she is. The only thing that is good about her is that she believes that democracy should be a thing in the USA. That is a nice thing, but it stops there. Don't try to use her to convince me to give $$$

After watching The Godfather and then Lawrence of Arabia in the same week. I really would hate to be the film that follows those two.

Hot take- The original Bad News Bears is actually kind of depressing. I still like the film but it is a rough watch at times.

Working on my book and being reminded of Nikki Haley saying America wasn't a racist country. I would have said- read the Naturalization Act of 1790 and say that again with sincerity. I dare you!

Last night I watched The Old Dark House (1932). Still delightfully strange. While James Whale's work is never forgotten because of Bride of Frankenstein, he did other films that were worthwhile.

I was skeptical about X-Men 97 being special, but all my doubts at this point have been put to rest. It has been marvelous and sometimes absolutely brutal!

Yes, I appreciate some older films, but that doesn't mean newer ones don't get some love now and then. The difference is very often these days films are about the largest profits for the lowest amount of money. Many times that means originality and depth are removed for familiarity.

Beware the eclipse! Oh wait, I'm sorry, I meant to say- enjoy the eclipse responsibly and safely. Beware the onslaught of erratic drivers during that time. Because the moon, the sun, aliens, Jesus, and whatever else aren't the problem today. (I mean probably not aliens haha).

Yesterday was rainy, but I managed to do alright. Today was even wetter and windier. I did get wet, but not drenched to the bone! Tomorrow looks to be colder and windy. Hopefully, the rain will be less by the time work comes around.

Being in the northeast, I am no stranger to uneven spring weather. However I must say between March and what the first week of April appears to be. Someone needs to get the cat off the meteorological piano.

We need to position for like 2 more hours in the day. I feel like any off day I have I find myself running an hour behind. The other hour-let me get an extra 60 minutes of sleep.

If you are having a bad day, just remember that today the former president Pumpkin's team announced they couldn't get the 450+million in time to appeal. Sure seems the guy who vastly inflated his assets may have vastly inflated other aspects. I mean we knew, but now we get to see it!

I re-watched Darkest Hour (2017) and I was still blown away by how impressive Gary Oldman was as Winston Churchill! It takes some liberties as nearly all biopic/historical films do, but it does a solid job building its story of the man and the moment.

Quick review: Wonka (2023)- Nothing about it is awful, but it lacks the magic and charisma of the original. It is another mediocre remake that litters the cinematic landscape today.

Now that you have the cult in 100% control of the GOP how long until people start asking where all the money for their campaigns/staff/lawyers etc went?

Just curious- what is Trump's infrastructure plans? What about climate change? How does he plan to address that? Yes, all the Regressives cry foul about the border crisis but what are their legit plans to resolve it? I see the hate and the fear, but never the policy- fancy that.
