I was raised outside Christian culture. From the very moment I was exposed to Evangelical/Fundamentalist Christianity, I have had a visceral, STRONG negative reaction to it. It felt perverse and twisted. Not one thing has ever made me change my mind about it. This sort of thing explains a lot.
