I've only known one other person who had braces as an adult, so it's natural my thoughts drifted to him this week.
He was one of the kindest, most jovial humans I'd ever met. That's why I was shocked when he took his own life.
The kindest people are often the ones hurting most. 💛

I don't think I have the energy to maintain two Mastodon accounts! I did notice that the sense of community on Mastodon made me comfortable sharing much more personal stuff (including transition and depression) than on Twitter. Here, I feel a bit lost at the moment 😃

My early browsings of Spoutible make it hard to work out what sort of vibe is here. I don't get the community feel of Mastodon, but there's also not the coldness I've found at T2.

Cost of living sucks.
No rental options in the regional town where I live.
Any further away, I can’t afford a place and the travel to work.
I’m lucky where I am, I have a roof over my head and job, but man it feels really limiting.
