This is my very good boy, Winston, a few years ago. Winston went walking through the flowers while I was gardening and is looking festive. He will be 15 next week. I’m seriously hoping he makes it, but it’s looking doubtful. I love him.

Every Thursday morning we kayak a few miles through a bayou to a place called Bird Island. A few months a year it is covered with nests of egrets, herons, pelicans, anhingas, and Roseate Spoonbills. This one took off from the mangrove and flew over my head. How lucky am I!

I took this on my Parent’s 60th wedding anniversary at the El Segundo restaurant in Ybor City. The flamenco show is a lot of fun. It was very red, but since I didn’t like the ceiling, I edited this to remove the drop down ceiling tiles and to make it more like a painting.

I live in Florida, which can be stressful for fascist reasons. So, it’s nice to put that aside for a bit and get in a kayak. Here’s a snowy egret that I captured on my phone today near a place called Bird Island. A happier memory than some speeches I’ve heard lately. 🚣
