Not long ago, my son's partner lost a baby that was full term. A baby she never thought she could have due to endometriosis. A baby she dearly wanted. I feel privileged today that she and my son celebrated Mother's day with me. I know it wasn't easy for her. ❤️ to all Mothers and those hoping to be.

Missing mom today. Lost her in 2020 at age 90. She was a selfless, talented, caring person. She taught me how to write creatively and clearly; how to tell a good joke; how to really listen to people; and how to sing harmony.

The bottom line is she went to dinner expecting to talk business and had to contend with the sexual advances of a disgusting man twice her age. Stormy is not afraid to tell it exactly as it was. “Salacious” is just shaming language from and for those who don’t want to face the truth.

A woman complaining loudly in line at the store about the preparation she had to make for Mother’s Day. She was brag/complaining, seeming mostly for attention. I told her in a ‘comforting’ tone, ”Don’t worry, you won’t always have to do that.”

When my Mom was still alive, I asked her if she had any regrets regarding her personal life while she was mired in the day to day busyness of raising kids.
She replied she regretted not remembering to continue to foster friendships outside of her parenting circle.
