It is interesting to see the differences between, "yes this is a concern" and "what am I willing to do about it". There are many democrats who are not putting their money where their mouth is.

I don't think anyone I'm know on Spoutible knows Deb personally but I'm hoping that won't matter. She is a friend of mine who has health issues that have made it difficult to keep up with cleaning & maintenance on her home. We are raising funds to help her get assistance with cleaning & repairs.

It is super gross how Portland, Maine is throwing asylum seekers under the bus when it comes to reasons that the city's shelters are full. The city shelters are full because our city council has sat on their ass and done NOTHING about the lack of affordable housing in this city.

Of course the first reason they give on why this would be bad is that manufacturers won't have as much cheap labor available.

Despite having deleted my account I often find myself reflexively trying to open Twitter. I sometimes forget Spoutible is here until I try to connect over political issues on FB which seems to shut down most politics related posts so no one sees them. I'm glad Spoutible is here.

Meat has higher climate change impacts earlier on in the food waste lifecycle, while wheat and pulses have higher impacts at the end stage of the cycle. This more in depth look into the GHG impacts of food waste also shows it has a higher impact than previously thought.

I don't know what is more difficult to deal with: the mix of anger and resentment I often feel about how, due to trauma, I'm having to learn basic self care at 50. Or the panic that arises when the self care starts to work and my "I'm feeling good, something is wrong" kicks in.

I learned this lesson during a period of time when I was living in a shelter in my early 20s. I'd wash up and change my clothes before heading to the ER. It didn't matter how sick I was...I do it.

This is good news. Very good news. The better of the two scenarios though is dependent on improving the lives of women and those living in poverty which the various governments of the world are not all that great at doing.

"The cleaners reduced the aerosol exposure of three dummy participants by 65%. That’s just shy of the 72% reduction achieved by masking all of the dummy participants." It would be amazing if we adopted these standards here.
MonzaMayhem @MonzaMayhemWe need Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) legislation. Viral transmission, wildfire smoke, toxins, allergies, asthma, etc. can all be improved with better IAQ. The wealthy have it; it's time for the rest of us to breathe clean air.

Are these textbook companies are independent or are they subsidiaries of other publishing companies? I've not bought a lot of books lately simply due not making enough money for any extras but that is about the change. I'd like to not support the companies that are capitulating to Florida.
