If I look at what Marc Elias (Democracy Docket) does to protect voting rights in this country, the small actions I take pale in significance. I keep in mind the 'for want of a nail,' rhyme to keep me moving forward.

Small actions daily make a difference. Actions past week: Mailed off my son's ballot for the local school election in the very red county in which we live.
Passed on new information to some folks. Got out batches wool and mohair yarn to mail to a friend who will use it. Counteract lies daily./1

I did not. But having some of my messages disappear made me extremely wary. When was that posted? I am basically off the bird site today although I popped in once to check on somebody I follow.

Did this last month for likely the same reason. No ads here and if we use Spoutible, we need to help pay the costs.

Glad to see you posting here. Most of the folks I have interacted with for over a decade are still on the other site. However. I make a small monthly donation to Spoutible to help with the costs. Will never, ever do that on the other place.

Tree-covered mountains and a lake visible behind me, I, face the wall, and write and code technical material sent out in machines. The work brings mental stimulation, happiness, pay. The devil finds work for idle minds to do, and the Internet mind means mine is never idle, working or playing.

It is also no longer safe for immigrants. As an immigrant, I will be permanently boycotting the state because it's not just the governor getting these laws passed.

Lori Smith bore false witness. She did not obey one of the Ten Commandments. The Bible is very clear about the results in such a case.

Is there anything that can be done, legally, about the statement that disgraced AG Paxton made that he stopped 2.5 million mail-in votes during the 2020 election, and that if he hadn't President Biden would also have won Texas? Is any part of this a crime?

Since 1979, we bought, moved, and redid a 1953 house, renovated a 1911 house, and a 1980 house after an ice maker hose broke, painted etc. a manufactured home, built two log cabins from scratch, and recently turned a garage loft into living space. After Trump support, no more business went to HD.

In Ireland, women who were widowed and either inherited, or now had financial resources as a result of being married, never remarried under the chattel laws to avoid giving up those resources to a man.

Tyranny always cures tyranny. The Iowa GOP have become tyrannical and the corruption in the State is abysmal. This will be cured. I doubt the Iowa GOP will like the way it is cured in the future.

Generally speaking, I think that Spoutible's basic guidelines are very good and the rest should be left alone. None of us know who that information may inform, however unoriginal.

Botswana is one of the best-managed, least corrupt countries on the continent. It doesn't seem powerful, but it is. I have been there several times and I am impressed as anything. I spent 14 years in South Africa and visit it fairly often but SA is too corrupt to recommend.

It might be very useful to show how quickly Spoutible is growing on a more frequent basis as my personal take is that Spoutible has hit an upward inflection point, which is really good news.
