Taken my mum-in-law away to her much beloved place, St Ives, Cornwall.
She spent her WWII childhood evacuation here for 6 years. She’s been back many times.
Arriving tomorrow, 26 members of our family, (4 generations), are gathering together for a week’s vacation to celebrate her 90th birthday.

When I was a child in the 1970s, my mother was involved with Horse Riding for the Disabled which took place at Buckingham Palace stables. The golden state carriage was kept in a section of a courtyard. I used to climb inside it and pretend to be a princess waving to the crowds. 👸🏼
