I picked up this coffee on a whim. I tend to like darker roasts, so often choose espresso, Italian, or French roasts for my regular drip coffee.

This is about as close to Starbucks brand as you can get without being SBs — and I typically like SBs over other brands, myself.

Picked this up on a whim. Not bad. While I may not be tempted to buy this again, it would certainly make an interesting addition to a cheeseboard for gatherings and events. Has a sweet and savory flavor with a little hint of chalkiness (like Wensleydale).

If you are looking for a good amaretto to try, may I suggest Il Tramonto Amaretto. I've tried a number of amaretti now, and each are decent in their own right, but I think this one stands out as my favorite. #WineAndSpirits

If you like distinctive and strong drinks, I would suggest Linie Aquavit if you've not tried it yet. It is a caraway flavored potato-based spirit, and the best of all the aquavits that I've tried. 1/3

The complex across the street from me planted Russian sage a few years back, and the bees are loving it. It's hard to see all the bees in this photo, but they are there.

I had a childhood crush on John Schneider. One of many men (and boys older than me) I saw on TV back in the 70s and 80s.

Who was yours?

I made oven-roasted parsnips tonight for the very first time. Peeled, cut up, tossed in extra-virgin olive oil and a little salt, and roasted at 400° for 25 minutes, turning once halfway through. I'm pleased with the outcome, though I plan on trying other recipes as well. (Not my photo.)

I bought some Domaine De Canton today for the first time, and I like it very much. It is ginger liqueur with notes of honey and vanilla. Very enjoyable and accessible if you like ginger. Will definitely keep this in stock. #WineAndSpirits
