Luhansk has major military/strategy implications. Being within striking distance is problematic for Russian operations in the region.

Those aren’t liberals. They are right wingers unable to cope with the fact that they don’t actually believe in the protection of others.

The weird part is that it doesn’t even go 10x the speed of sound. So it’s not like it’s an editing error.

Just a blatant lie + laughing in the face of Newtonian physics.

Because racist and homophobic people enjoy and encourage their moniker.

It’s not an insult to call someone a racist anymore. It’s actually reinforcing their badge of honor.

There is a high probability this is a false flag. Russian MOD/Kremlin own every camera in the area. Russia also rarely admits defeat (especially a few short hours later).

The whole situation is very fishy, but the point makes even less sense. What are they going to do, invade Ukraine?

Man, if you could run a site like this for $89 I would just be impressed. It’s not even an insult at that point.

Keep up the good work man, this project is incredible.

If Americans understood data privacy properly they would be in an uproar. If they understood federal privacy protection there would be less people cheering in the streets for Roe being overturned.

It’s a shame companies and government entities can steal Americans information unscrupulously.

As I lawyer I certainly support maximum age for judges. It's an exceptionally difficult job, that requires a keen awareness of modern social structure to compliment their immense understanding of the history of law.

It's really not a job for someone that is say 80+. I for one would want to retire.

I am a lawyer, but not this kind. That being said, it’d likely be a defamation case. However the Prima Facie of defamation is fairly hard.

You must demonstrate negligence of the speaker, and harm caused to your reputation. If the bar was low, someone on twitter calling you an idiot would suffice.

Regarding Donbas and the other regions, they clearly fail requirement 3 as they have little to no authority politically or administratively (i.e. Police), without massive backing from Russia. Particularly Russian boots on the ground.

I hope you learned a little about what makes a State. 5/5

As for requirement 3 (stable government), the Aaland Case from Finland is illuminating:

"...until a stable political organization had been created, and until public authorities had become strong enough to assert themselves throughout the territories..." 4/5

Interestingly enough these regions may succeed on the first two requirements. Having a defined territory and population can actually be contested to some degree.

Even if Ukraine (and the rest of the world) disagrees about the population/territory of the Donbas, doesn't mean it is not defined. 3/5

Splinter regions like the Donbas would likely fail on at least the 4th requirement. It seems more likely than not that the Donbas cannot negotiate with other States, without the intervening party of Russia.

The region (and other breakaways) are likely tributary States to Russia's suzerainty. 2/5

The complete degradation for the first amendment (after complaining about 1A protection since masking started).

The disgusting disregard for the safety of children.

I'm a big fan of Al Jazeera as I trust their reporting as a Non-American news source. Sometimes removing the bias is good for us in the States.

Also importantly they never have a paywall which makes disseminating information easier and more effective.

I spend a lot of time in Florida/have family there. While there were certainly terrible hurricanes when I was growing up, they were much rarer and easier to prepare for.

Now my family is getting hit, hardly recovering, then getting hit again. Just a matter of statistics before they lose everythin
