This isn't surprising. Women don't have to put up with their crap anymore and can leave them. Can't have that . . .

Sometimes the family you create (what I call my "love family") is way better than your blood family. Sending you virtual hugs. I hope you are able to create the incredible love family you deserve.

The "utility" is a Disney subsidiary . . . so Disney owns it. I fail to see the issue here.

I've been checking those every few days. Just really want to make sure I'm hearing from diverse voices (except Republicans, lol - not even remotely interested in what they have to say).

No problem! Would love for more citizens to get involved. Climate change work needs to start at the local level. Probably should start with cows, lol.

NARUC.org can direct you to your state's energy regulatory commission website. Bit of a maze but there are hearings on a variety of issues.

They aren't making it up as they go. There are a TON of reliability standards they have to meet plus things have to be approved by the regulator. They are a tad cautious because of reliability and changes are $$$ so it doesn't change quickly but most new generation is now renewables or gas.

Yes! You can look it up easily. Company's annual report or google companyX generation mix. You can even go to the meetings and advocate for renewables - no one ever attends their state regulatory commission meetings where these generation plans have to be approved . . .

I work for an energy association that represents all energy and have heard from many utilties and independent system operators. The beauty of EVs is they mostly charge at night when demand is low . . . and their batteries can be used during the day as a generation source for grid issues.

Manufacturing and buildings. Those programs are ramping up. Also, if your power plant was shut down they had a replacement for the generation - it was probably old or coal/gas and they replaced it with renewables.

And citizens reducing their use - energy efficiency - will also probably be part of the solution.

I wasn't clear. Utilities are working on it now for future use - EVs are predominately in their 20 year plans and have been for years. New technology happens all the time. Large battery storage will be a game changer and they are working on it now.

It's possible. Actually the batteries in EVs can be useful to the grid. Utilities are working on it. Would help if Americans wouldn't waste so much energy . . .

Yes I fully recognize this could hurt people and that is the last thing I want to do. People vote overwhelmingly with their pocket books though so . . . might be the only way to wake them up. Do you know how many Dems in FL just sat out the last election? 1/2 of them. 2/3 of the GOP showed up.

Visiting family is different - find ways to minimize what you spend there. When I drive down to GA to visit family I only stop in cities for gas, food and lodging that voted Dem - if I have to go through a red state at least I support the blue pockets.
