What could explain the correlation between armed guards at schools and higher deaths?

Perhaps schools with armed guards tend to be in states with more lax gun restrictions? And/or with strong gun cultures? Or that a mass shooter arms himself more heavily knowing that there are armed guards?

Those who say "people kill people,” not guns, are being intellectual dishonest.

They know it's the guns.

Their true belief is that liberty comes with costs and sacrifices, and loss of innocent lives are a necessary sacrifice for protecting their cherished right to firearms.

Many red states are former slave states. They are STILL litigating the civil
