#StarTrekPicard #StartrekPicardSeason3 was a TREMENDOUS ride. The first two seasons were a bit of a let down for me, but I'm glad I stayed with it thru Season 3. Tremendous ride and a great send off for this tremendous group of characters.

And if you’re feeling overwhelmed, you call 988,” Jean-Pierre said. “The National Crisis Hotline and dial the number ‘3’ to talk to a counselor who has been specifically trained to support LGBTQI+ kids.”

Despite a slew of prominent Democratic officeholders endorsing him, a rich charter school baron lost the Chicago Mayor’s race to a public school teacher.

The #txlege House just voted to ban private school vouchers, including many Republican members.

Public institutions are popular, actually! 💁

What's happened in Tennessee is authoritarian, intolerant, and oppressive. That's why it's fascism.

It's also petty, vindictive, and a massive overreach. That's why it's politically foolish.

Tennessee will soon find this out.

Best part of the WI victory? The huge numbers of young people voting. Something is happening. 2024 will be the year of the young voter if we can put resources where they belong, organizing, supporting, and most of all listening to the voters between 18-25.

Opening up Spoutible.com feels like stepping into a bath that's perfectly your temp.
Not too hot, not too cold.... it's just right.
It's COMFORTABLE.
Unlike some platforms (🐦) where you could start off feeling great and then 5 min in you notice this water is TOO DAMN HOT for comfort. #Spoutible

The lingo. It's just solidly whimsical without being too outlandish. It's intuitive. Spout. Spout Off. Echo. Make Waves. It's just makes me smile.

It seems to me that if we can have a warning on a jar of peanuts that says "Warning: Contains Peanuts" we can have a warning on "entertainment television" pretending to be news.

One of my favorite things about Spoutible is this... When I Spout something, it reaches anyone that it naturally comes across. There's nothing rigging the algorithm against me. I will have genuine new people seeing my stuff and liking it or sharing it or even commenting on it. So nice!

I’m a romance author. I promoted two new releases in a spout last week. Know what happened? Nothing. No drama. No ban. Because I respected the TOS.

Those debating @cbouzy remind me of the men who are baffled by policies prohibiting sexual harassment, worried they’ll make a “mistake.” The obvious reply is, if you have to ask that question, don’t say/do it. Same principle here. If you worry posting content will get you banned, don’t post it.

Agree, it’s a wedge issue that is legally a non-starter anyway, bad faith from the complainers for the most part. Block list is growing with a lot of low activity folks with sudden absolute needs…

We all knew there’d be jerks coming from Twitter to try and ruin it for us. @cbouzy gave us the tools to manage it and we will and we’ll stand united and have good conversations and learn from each other. I’m not worried.

There seems to be some confusion. I’ve been approached by someone that takes this decision as an attack against LGBTQ. I don’t see it.

IMO, they’re trying to make this place a cesspool just like twitter. Everything was fine until they showed up to argue about set rules. Once this blows over, there will be another thing to nitpick. I’m just going to start blocking because it’s circular and tiresome.

You might want to reconsider being part of this platform. If the rules are too much, there are platforms that might be a better fit.

Perhaps be grateful you have this place curated by @cbouzy and voted on by the rest of us.

Or be spiteful that you missed the boat.

Your choice.

Plus, as the site works right now, "Explore" can show ANY post to ANY user. No adult content filters. No "Click to View". We don't even have an app. If people can't refrain from posting things on here that would get me fired if my boss walked by until I can either CONSENT or filter it out...
