America has really got to up their game. 42 Japanese men ran under 2:10 in the marathon this year. The UK only has 1 & the US has 2. 2!!??

Seriously, I love alien stories. I’d be thrilled to learn we’re not alone. But, the world is literally on fire. Pollution is rampant. People have given up any semblance of concern for health. There is no effort to solve, anything.

Can we just stop arguing and find solutions. This is nuts.

Yes, it’s the remote workers…

Not the pandemic, the low pay, or the realization that life is not work. Idiots.

It’s really true. Here in Colorado, it’s been in the 90s for awhile here and it really affects what you can do outside. I can’t imagine living in the south right now. It definitely makes sense why there aren’t any trails down there. Everyone just hides.

It’s weird that almost all #climate discussions focus on survival. I of course see this in a similar vein to #COVID because that’s what I do, but athletic performance plummets over 60 degrees. At 80, I start to feel like I’m dying. Yes, this is a #running example, but consider working outdoors.

Thanks. I really hope all runners get as much joy from running as I do. It’s the only time where I really feel like a kid just excited about the moment. Have a good one.

I get that everyone doesn’t like #running , but I’m super pumped. Just ran my 2nd fastest 5k ever: 17:34 kind of randomly this morning. I felt like I might be fast today and damn I was flying. Love it.

Courtney Dauwalter set the Western States 100 course record of 15:29:34 three weeks ago.

Today, she set a course record at the Hardrock 100 in 26:14:08, for a combined time of 41:43:42.

This resets the overall record for this double of 42:12:43 (Jeff Browning, 2016). #HR100

Life is messy.

We like our narratives straight forward and simple. It gives us comfort.

But comfortable narratives are often wrong.

We need to do a better job of sitting with the messiness & discrepancies of life.

Coaching is about making your own job obsolete.

Good coaches foster independence. We should be working towards having our athletes be self-sufficient, with our role as simply course-correcting the ship as it goes

It's Monday! What are your plans for the week? Do you intend to show this week whos boss? Or will you skate through under the radar? However you approach this week, have the safest one.

My hope for #Spoutible is to be a place of depth. I fear that social media elsewhere is all about defense. This is why Trump harmed news so much, and why click bait is so much worse. We can’t help but argue.

But, to move on, we need to find calmer interests. So please ask people questions and talk

A quick moment of gratitude for all who have followed. I’m a newly elected state rep working for progressive, anti-racist, anti-sexist values. I believe in creating communities free from bigotry that support our LGBTQI+ friends and neighbors. Our workers are the heart and soul of society. #gratitude
