I love the warm glow of stained glass windows and lamps!

This is the beautiful Tiffany stained glass piece called “Magnolias and Irises”. We saw it at The Met in NYC. It was in a darkened area with the piece backlit to show the gorgeous glowing colors.

FYI - These are 5-ingredient Graham Cracker Toffee bars.
(Graham crackers, brown sugar, butter, mini-chocolate chips and chopped pecans)

11 x15” pan lined with parchment paper on a counter. Chocolate sprinkled with pecans over a toffee made of brown sugar and butter poured over graham crackers that are lined up in the pan. Two small pieces are missing from the lower corner of the pan of bars.

I got this little silver tree during Covid. I wanted something that was cheerful after taking down
Christmas lights.

I decorate it w/ themed charms & beads that hang from earring wires or straight pins.

We found a cute turtle lamp at a rummage sale ($10) years ago and gave it to our daughter. The lamp gives off a soft glow when lit. It’s been in every apartment she’s lived in since.

When she need to replace the bulb, she realized it was a Meyda Art Glass lamp ($80).

Tall narrow shelf unit in a corner. On the shelves are plants. The lit turtle lamp, a quilted pillow with Kitters on the front.

Wehr Nature Center has many trails you can walk through to see natural Wisconsin landscapes. This trail includes a prairie where you walk through tall grass and native wildflowers.

Several years later I worked for a bank. I avoided a navy skirt until I joined the Briefcase Drill Team*. We wore navy suits & got our inspiration from the Pasadena Doo Dah Parade. 😁

When the school funding referendum passed in my local election on April 2, I was thrilled! I will gladly pay the extra $15 per year in Property Tax for school improvements.

We don’t have kids in the schools now, but appreciated the great education our kids got in GPS.

Happy Caturday from my favorite cat, Kitters!

She’s got a new home in WI and a new spot in the sun. She was born in CA, moved to NYC, now settled in the Midwest. Such a traveler. 💕

We are all happy that my daughter, son-in-law and Kitters are now less than 100 miles away rather than 700+.

My daughter asked me to press her dress for her wedding rehearsal brunch last summer.

She bought the 100% cotton dress thru an online resale shop for $20. It was a challenge, but I used my steam iron, a pressing cloth and patience to press out the wrinkles. 😊😁

When I look at this picture of my firstborn in the NICU, it brings back memories of the pain I felt every time I left to go home for the night. He stayed 55 days.

No long-term issues, he just had to eat & grow. 3 decades later, he’s married, a dad with a great job.
