I can see your two instances, but nothing else. And there was a point when the red alert said I had 3 notifications but there was nothing there. Also, I've apparently had no mentions or quotes ever, which does not compute.

To our shame, this is true. I live in one of the most "liberal" towns in Massachusetts and see this too frequently (though certainly not nearly as much as Black people do). And since this place is named after a genocidalist, none of us here should be surprised and we whites must knock it off.

It is a remarkable scene, beautifully filmed and played by all involved. And for me, Howard Shore's score is simply the lifeblood of the whole film.

Thank you for telling me about this. We know we've had weasel, raccoon and hawk predation, but what you describe about fox behavior comports with his more recent, complete description of what he found.

Personally, I never envisioned crossing a pig or a tomato with a pineapple and spiking the result with nuts... #AgOldStyle

Not that we know of. We'll try to get a head count on the black ones this evening (they stand out b/c the vast majority of our current hens are red or buff). He didn't see any blood, but there are plenty of predators on and around the farm.

VERY safe! I have family, friends, colleagues and students who are LGBTQIA+ and I will only have a problem with them if they start doing really lousy things to people, animals, my family or my property.

I find that X so nihilistic. It really does seem like all he wants to do is ruin an influential social media platform so he can take more power/money/attention for himself. I'm not a psychological professional, but might megalomania fit?

Me: Yes. Outside a theater of war, the only thing I could imagine needing one of those things for would be taking down a huge, determined herd of rampaging moose galloping straight at me with murder in their eyes.

Farm: Moose are faster than your reflexes. 🙄

I refuse to use Meta products. I almost got a Facebook account way back when it still relatively new, but their privacy, content ownership and real name policies made the place so dangerous for anyone who isn't a white, cishet male that I banned their stuff for life.

My thoughts, exactly. That said, they do require specialized equipment and/or training in order to handle things like blood tests and other diagnostics. Among other things, their blood vessels can be hard to find and their metabolic issues are pretty specific and can be tricky to deal with.

It was wonderful of them. That veterinary practice doesn't see ferrets except to euthanize them in a pinch, but they've improved dramatically since the last time I had to go there. I hope they'll keep it up and that maybe they might start seeing pets other than cats and dogs.

Thank you for your kind words. Most fortunately, the veterinarian knew exactly how to do it well and let us hold him in our arms as he passed. Still devastated by his loss. You'd think after decades of ferret experience it would get easier, but it never does. And Beau was extremely wonderful.

Thanks for that link! I hadn't known about Xerces and their advice is very much in keeping with what I've been trying to figure out for the home lawns. Now to find a way to source the plants that don't currently grow there but should...
