Hi. It's been awhile since I was on Spoutible. I see the Help/Knowledge Center still offers no user tutorials, even though many early users have kindly created some for newbies. When will the knowledge center be expanded to include how-tos/FAQs?

Lately there’s been a resurgence of articles dealing with the financial aspects of being poor and how the system actually profits off of poor people. I have not seen one that dealt with the emotional cost of being poor.

The CDC should drop "Control and Prevention" from its name. Now they're considering a policy change based on what people are willing to do, instead of recommending what is best to mitigate spread of infection. #PublicHealthFail

This story is only getting attention because activists on social media have been promoting it over the past few weeks. Our voices force the media to pay attention to something other than national politics. #BeLoud #MakeNoise #HindsCounty

Some people love the idea of suppressing their ideological "enemies"–until the laws used to do that are turned on the people who praised those laws. #KarmaWillKickYouInTheTusche #FascismBites

I would really like to close the word cloud on timeline. It takes up too much space on my phone app. Tried tapping the paper clip upper right and nothing happens. Suggestions?

#RIPTommySmothers Another little piece of my youth gone. These year-end departures can be soul-deadening. He made me laugh so hard. "Mom always liked you best!" And the Brothers' political stances were brave for their time.

I saw and loved some of Blakemore's best productions: "Kiss Me Kate," "City of Angels," and the farce, "Noises Off," which remains the single funniest play I ever saw on Broadway. A sad loss.

Well, it finally happened. I tested positive for COVID. I avoided for four years, then, an early Christmas gift. Bleah. So far, it's like a really heavy head cold. Hoping to avert it moving to my chest. No one else I know is ill. I mask whenever I'm out, so no idea how I was exposed. Take care, all.

I made chili yesterday which had me in the kitchen at just the right time to wave to Santa, riding on a trailer towed by the local Fire Department, escorted by EMTs, fire police and PD. A local holiday tradition. Do they do this where you live?

Do you decorate a tree for Christmas? What favorite ornaments do you hang every year? I have a boy on a sled, in honor of the winter my late brother ran his sled into mine and chipped a front tooth; and 3 Barogue angels, for a late friend who loved the #MetMuseum 's Christmas tree.

#Thanksgiving went well today... except that I overate by a lot. But it's my fave holiday meal. I love all the colors on the plate, and had to go back for seconds because it all tasted so good. ( I took a casserole of potato bread filling.) Yum. God bless my niece for cooking up a storm.

I will never understand why the justice process is so effin' slow in this country. Elsewhere, his sorry ass would have been tried, convicted and jailed long since, as well as all those in Congress who participated. #IDGI

I'd celebrate, but I just learned that #MomsForLiberty now has more chapters in my state (PA) than anywhere other than their home state of Florida. In Republican-dominated areas, some MoL candidates won school board seats. The fight is just beginning...

#ElectionDay I usually vote in the evening, but voted today at 2:10. I was pleasantly surprised to learn I was number 155 to vote (we have a very small precinct). That seems high for a midterm election with no national offices in play. Hoping that means good turnout for both Dems and Repubs.

Judges. Judges. Judges.

Republicans spent 39 years grooming lawyers and future judges in constitutional conservatism until they had a window to stack SCOTUS and overturn Roe.

Get out and vote for progressive judges next month to protect your state from anti-abortion litigation.

A Trump-appointed judge rules that a Galveston, TX, voting district redraw violates the Voting Rights Act. The entire South is racing toward a rebirth of Jim Crow. The Courts are trying to prevent that. #VoteBlue

Clear-headed rundown on why we need to return Biden/Harris to the White House in 2024. And, reclaim the House, and gain a strong majority in the Senate. #VoteBlue
💜 Callie 💜 @CallieSpeakz
Starting to see the same talking heads going on about Biden’s age and suggesting other candidates that should primary him.

It’s ageism and thinly veiled bigotry. White supremacy/privilege is a disease in this country that just won’t go away. Every time you think it has, it rears its ugly head.
