It's now a place where hypothetical potential people have more rights than actual living breathing & in many cases suffering people.

Sorry I need to correct the record Jason Kint is a critic of Facebook/Instagram/Meta.
It's *Dave Troy* who sussed out who is behind Bluesky & what Jack Dorsey (& Elon) are up to https://davetroy.medium.co...

Jason Kint did an article on Bluesky back in October just before Elon came in with The Sink
Sad because Kint's now also on Bluesky.

This is a screenshot of the actual Jack Dorsey #TouchGrass tweet.
And by the way Elon owns a piece of Bluesky so wait until the coveted famous & powerful users find out about that little detail.

A few weeks ago Matt Iglesias was on Bluesky, he was bullied off of there largely because at time *users didn't have block or mute tools* to get him out of their feeds. So I'd expect some 'liberals' & 'apoliticals' to be harassed over there too (see jenntakahashi / bestofdyingtwit on Twitter)

Well I'll just chill for several hours then try again (I mostly want to reply to some DMs & figure out how we're going to do WGA strike & possible SAG-AFTRA strike stuff not on Twitter assuming the mess on Twitter cannot be fixed)

Yeah just a laptop here, no other devices to try. I did reboot my router & MacBook Air to see if I could force that counter to reset but alas nope.
I am hearing if you use OldTwitter with Chrome or Firefox that might work.

I can't quite figure it out but another end run is if you have a different device to log in with, you can log out of it & then log in again on another. People are bouncing between phones, iPads/tablets & laptops/desktops if they have them to try. It tags the device somehow to start the read count.

By using Tweetdeck weirdly I was able to end-run some things but not others. There are rate limits to everything I just don't quite know what they are. I say weirdly because Tweetdeck's blog says it makes many more requests (calls) of Twitter's API than Twitter itself (e.g. refreshing TD = 3 calls).

There's literally a bug he introduced into Twitter when he decided to pull this rate limiting stunt (he's sort of messed with rate limits before & is doing it again) https://waxy.org/2023/07/t...

Okay a DDOS attack is where many many machines send non-stop requests to a target machine & tie up all its resources. This bug is like every Twitter user non-stop banging repeatedly on their keyboards, but it's not us, it's something Elon did to his own software.

TL;DR He done broke his toy.

Even if you did pay $8 / month in revenue there are still limits on how many tweets you can read in a day (6000)
Also did he not think of the accounts which pay for promoted tweets or the advertisers? #NotAGenius https://www.thewrap.com/tw...

Um, no, Facebook has a system that forces people to sign up under a 'real name' or something that sounds very like a 'real name'. And FB users are cool with 'snitching' on people on that site under pseudonyms.

When that happened to me, I left FB & the Meta companies for good

Is it possible to see more than just a selection of who other Spoutible users follow & who follows other Spoutible users?
Am trying to reconstruct what I had on the birb app without code or an app that does that for me (probably not going to be possible due to Twitter API charges coming soon :-(

I'm just looking for someone to write an app / some code so I can just port my list of people I follow on the birb app to here.
But it's not going to be that easy, is it? (it never is)
