Granted, I live in Dwitzerland, where didtances are measured on a different scale than the US, but my rule is, I have to be able to do my daily shopping and get to work by bike, and do my weekly shopping by public transportation. My fam has now lived without a car in a small town for 9 years.

I live in a town where the Roman legion had a camp for a few decades, c. between emperors Nero and Marcus Aurelius. There are the ruins of the amphitheater and other buildings, and a reconstruction of military barracks. It's the greatest tourist attraction in the area... (cont'd)

My daughter made the switch half a year ago, but my menfolk still like their meat. So I'm vegetarian with her at least 5 days out of the week, but still cook meat on weekends, when they are at home. I wish I could make the decision for them, I'd feel much better about cooking fof the family!

According to what I've read, much of the shortage stems from too much meat dairy. You need almost 7 to 10x the land to produce food for farm animals to produce meat from, than for food for humans. Add waste and hoarding, and you've got major issues.

Heard somewhere the other day that the Fulton County DA office has 400 career lawyers, and only the head is elected. The 400 stand all behind Fani. The legislature would have to fire them all. (Sorry, can't remember where I heard it, but it gave me some confidence her work is protected.)
