Tonight, I was at a Juneteenth celebration in Tokyo by the Legacy Foundation Japan that acknowledged and lifted up bi-racial (Black/Japanese) high school student who was denied walking with class because he had his hair in braids. It was a beautiful moment and his speech melted the entire room.
