😦...

Is it, like, a "no homo" kind of thing?
Or a different sort of 🤮?

( I'm asking rather than immediately look up for myself just in case the chance to elaborate to a receptive ear is something you're actively in the mood for 🧡 )

Curious doubling of the pic because I closed the spout window to get a better copy of the alt text poem & apparently the reopened spout pop up had the first pic silently/invisibly saved...

Where gone those passions rich and glowing, could not we renew
Them again? The wind is very harsh now and nights are nasty cruel.

Where is the raw smell of the roses which used to make us mad
Has it gone down floating with the stream of time or blown into

Do you listen to the Strict Scrutiny podcast? They had lots of thoughts along those lines & it was settling/affirming to hear people talking through that yes, there's more to come & this is a big-harm-averted not a big-win/big-heal, & yes there are next steps, etc etc

Thanks.
Reading through your feed now, it seems like there's a whole exchange that went away,
or other context I'm not seeing bc format or something.

I thought the original was (inartfully) voicing ire at a specific kind of elder, like, the ones voting for P.Obama in '08 but 🐘 ever since...

Fwiw, coming laterally into this set of replies/threads...
I agree with you entirely that the "youth will save us" / "the next gen has no patience for regressives" is several different kinds of untrue & harmful.

Andbutalso, it seems like OP's sentiment wasn't about that, at all?

Or I missed stuff

I read the play in high school for some class & hated it, I don't quite remember why but something to do with the message/theme... maybe that it was too pessimistic?

( But there's a lot of fantastic works I hated as a teenager; I was extreeeeemely judgmental about literature at that age )

Do you have any
citation to back up those
eyebrow raising claims?

English syllables
certainly don't exactly match
the Japanese "on,"

& there is more than
one way to spread seventeen
out across three lines;

is that all the weight
your blithe admonishment
swings toward my cheek?

Is your poem in fact
not actually haiku
intentionally?

Stirring, the cat notes
one thing at last eternal
Not the Tao? Not now?

Staring at the cat
I see nothing eternal
Alas, she does

The way the cat sees
is not the way to see her
or to see the way.

4) Anybody (myself included) who lived through the 2016 campaign has plenty of reason to second guess ourselves about P.Trump's electoral odds
5) There were vital voter protections that we failed to maintain, expand, reinforce
6) A lot of the January 6 Coup architecture is still in place

I don't personally think he'll win
( or even get the nomination )
but:
1) There's *lots* of Dems that reject the "Biden has dementia" smears out loud but have been quietly swayed by the FUD
2) P.Biden has a big enthusiasm gap
3) Mainstream Media Horse Race coverage continues to drown out clarity,

Yes this andbut can you articulated why white people specifically?

I can think of a few different reasons that'd make sense; I'm asking bc I'm curious, not bc I'm looking to argue over it

( & I'm definitely on board for directly addressing whiteness, not doing any colorblindist 🐂💩 )

3000x2250 seems to load...

& 3200x2325..? Wait...

Ok so it's not strictly image size, because even the original 3265x2449 loads when it's the pic-editor download,
so is it file size?
Or my default image format for pixel camera?

Fwiw, I'm in favor of gun control, including the kind this pic promotes,
AndBut I don't think that factoid is valid...
Iirc it's using a pretty narrow definition of mass killings & very incomplete databases
