You know Auggie, after a couple of weeks I felt very similarly - I was yearning for some curation. But I gotta say after a little more time, I don’t think I miss it.
I’m still hoping for #lists as a feature add here - I think that will help my self-curation a lot.

Is that possible without an algorithm? I'd like to be able to create lists so I could separate out my timeline by subject. I know I'm missing some great spouts by people I follow because it's chronological.

Hi Auggie. There really isn’t a “For You” where the system curates a feed based on your likes (and whatever it wants to push to you). Your timeline is entirely curated by you in your follows choices. Explore is a firehouse - most recent spouts which can be fun to scroll.

It's Bot Sentinel which primarily detects trolls for suspension. It's used as a filter as well more like a behavioural tool where to keep us the community professional

Right off the bat I rejected Mastodon
Coming from IT from product and development I didn't like the decentralised servers which means a lot of the servers' owners are unknown, can pull servers at anytime and steal data. Also not customer friendly due to UI owner different than servers'

Welcome! In the beginning and actually daily I use through Explore feature(Compass icon) it's where Search resides and you will find a variety of people you may choose to follow. It's how I found you. Hope you enjoy it here as much as I do!

I used Tribel as my 1st Twitter alternative while was still on Twitter. As soon as started using it I saw the N word then more, kept reporting. Rosanna Arquette was there too, decided to kill her a/c at the same time she left Twitter
