Years ago we encountered baggers at a grocery store in Indiana that were not allowed to touch bottles of wine to put them in bags because the baggers were under 21 yo.

It isn't possible. States have their own independent legal system. It is no more feasible to transfer a NY case to a federal court as it is to transfer a NY case to be tried in FL.

We should start using property rights and requesting that 'for the safety of employees and patrons we request you do not bring weapons into ...'. Most open carry states allow property owners to block people from carrying weapons on property.

This type of legislation invites demonstrations. "identified performance achievements" includes completing the season or finishing a competition or even being selected for a team. Then awards could be done by sponsors or organizers. Let the state attempt to take action against a T-ball league.

No. Republican believe in the use of threats and violence to achieve objectives. They have solidified on a policy position of more weapons as a solution to gun violence. That is the essences of 'good guys with guns' retort they use. They militarized LE on the belief that gangs outgunned cops.

Disney deals with local government all over the world. Disney has far more technical expertise in local zoning and permitting than the ideological appointees. Disney will be outclassing them for a very long time.

Don't know. Maybe we should just blame DeSantis for every offensive they lay at the feet of Disney. Minnie Mouse wearing pants - DeSantis fault. Removed the Pirate drinking rum from Pirates of the Caribbean ride DeSantis approve of that. Upset about Tim Allen not voicing Buzz Lightyear - Desantis.

Yes. That is going to be really helpful when attempting to prioritize spending on roads or runoff management.

That is in the proposed law. This opens the possibility to target red districts with overwhelming number of books to review. Eventually, the state will have to step in and attempt to clean up the mess.

It is dopey. She has absolutely no experience with running a community. Somehow these people think they can influence Disney by underfunding the sewage treatment plant at WDW.

None of the members appointed to the board seem to have any experience in operating a community. The board deals with the minutiae of governing and not anything that resembles culture war. They honestly believe they got positive control over Disney.

Nothing really. The 2nd A applies to the federal government. No local government has any say in how the 2nd A applies locally nor can they interfere in legitimate federal law enforcement.

Republicans don't believe in regulations. 'Put regulation in place' is not a workable approach. What Democrats need to do is shift to a more punitive actions after the fact to make self-regulation work. At some point the private sector will welcome USG guidance.

Republicans don't believe in government restrictions to commerce. But they don't have a problem with the use of government force to punish lawbreakers. In Ohio, the GOP would be OK with the federal government coming down hard on the rail operators to make the community whole again.

This loops in the Republican Party which only opposed the spread of slavery to new states but supported slavery where it was legal.

They can't. The board basically has a subset of power granted to a FL county government. At best they can interrupt development or delay opening of a park attraction. They have no more influence over content than OC county has over Universal.

This is a lot of pearl clutching BS. The reality is that Disney is a huge entertainment company that requires a vast management structure to produce content. There is no way possible that an outside entity could even grasp the shear amount of content let alone attempt to shape it.
