Passing around peanut-filled cupcakes at a birthday party is considered reckless and dangerous. Bringing your RSV, flu, COVID coughing kid to the party, however, is considered good parenting, bc every parent these days has a major FOMO complex.

If folks see that cute baby in the CDC's thumbnail for their RSV web page, just know that he's fine. The nanny has a high fever due to RSV but she remembers every once in a while to cough into her sleeve. Thanks CDC! #WearaMask

I dunno, the racism is important to the cartoon movie; the idea of "exotic" females lusting for the lead is a staple of white male fantasy stories, as well as the white fem considering the "exotic" woman as her unequal, and her rival. If Peter Pan a story about an English boy's fantasies, it fits.

"In the years since Philando was killed, she has poured her energy into activism, wiping out school lunch debt and pushing for free school meals. This week, her advocacy hit a high point: The state Legislature passed a bill to provide free breakfast and lunch to all schoolchildren." 💗

The scapegoating was not just newspapers. Government reports literally blamed factory workers for spreading COVID, not because of factory conditions, but because of multigenerational housing. Plus, the baseless travel bans against China, South Africa, etc., and people crossing the border.

"Estimates of excess mortality, which compare observed deaths to those expected in the absence of the pandemic, suggest that the true death toll of the pandemic is much larger than indicated by official COVID-19 deaths alone..."

Politicians like Rep. Zooey Zephyr of Montana take personal risks on their strong stances. This is inspiring. But most politicians have no desire to risk their careers, and focus their attention on appealing to the masses who are force fed talking points via major news corporations.

If an office has unpaid interns, no tampons in the bathrooms, no remote options, and a culture of coming into the office while sick, then they really shouldn't bother having a "diversity/inclusion" program.

In my own experience, diversity/inclusion workshops at an office tend to come off as corporate-sanctioned, "HR-approved" solutions to a major problem, analogous to holding a "let's talk about burnout" workshop at a hospital overrun with nosocomial outbreaks.

The trailer reminds me a bit of the relationship between First Corinthians and her employer, Miss Graham, in Song of Solomon.

Imagine how, for hundreds of children in the Dallas school district, this is how they are introduced to Milne's characters. It's beyond tragic.
