I spent a little time in downtown Phoenix, Arizona today. Not too much though as the temperature reached 102 degrees! I found the anchor from the USS Arizona which sunk in Pearl Harbor and is now part of a memorial near the state capitol.

Greetings, earthlings! I am currently in Roswell, NM - famous since the aliens crashed here in 1947. Did it happen? Was there a cover up? Who can say! But the town sure does lean into the alien lore in a fun way. Tomorrow I head west to Arizona, I hope you’ll check back then!

Today I am visiting Tombstone, Arizona. It was a long drive (7 hours) this morning from Roswell but I now have many more cool photos I look forward to sharing in the coming weeks. This one is in front of the Bird Cage - the original 1881 building that was a saloon and housed ladies of the night.

Hello late night Spouters! Today I visited the beautiful Saguaro National Park outside of Tucson, Arizona. I think I’m still picking cactus spines out of my hooves! Worth it, though.

Being out here on west coast time I don’t always remember to Spout at a reasonable hour, so I’m trying to do better today! This afternoon I went to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. It was beautiful and also incredibly hot! I’ve been on vacation all week - be sure to check out all my Spouts!

My week of adventures in the Southwest begins today in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I visited the Rattlesnake Museum which has been a mainstay in Old Town for the past 34 years. They had a lot of snakes! Live ones!

Good morning early risers! Yesterday's Spout was a bit of a tease since I posed with the Point Betsie Lighthouse sign and not the lighthouse itself. Today I deliver the goods! This is on the coast of Lake Michigan in 2023. Starting tomorrow I begin my week long trek through New Mexico and Arizona!

Happy Cinco de Mayo, celebrating Mexico's victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. For most people, it's just an excuse to drink Corona and eat tacos. Or at least, that's what I'm told. 2016 brought me to this lovely beach in Mahahual, Mexico. Salud!

Today is opening day at the world’s greatest amusement park, Cedar Point, in Sandusky, OH. And I am here to soak up all the fun! I was not allowed on the new ride, Top Thrill 2, which was for the best. That ride is intense!

The Vietnam Memorial is behind me, from my visit to Washington D.C. in 2002. This particular memorial is beautiful and devastatingly sad.

I visited Boston, MA in 2012 and found myself in Boston Public Garden. Opened in 1837, it was the first public botanical garden in America. The garden was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (as part of the Emerald Necklace), the famous landscape architect who also designed Central Park in New York

This is Dobbins Lookout just south of Phoenix, Arizona where I visited a couple months ago. There is a spectacular view of the city from up here but the drive was a little hairy with all the tight turns.

Open since 1933, Sloppy Joe's bar in Key West, Florida is famous as the favorite watering hole of Ernest Hemingway during his time on the island. I visited last fall and I can see why it is still popular to this day.

Tonight we're going back to the early days of 2001 from my first visit to Universal Studios in Orlando. By this time I had been traveling for about 2 years. This was my first visit of many to the weird place they call Florida.

Upon a recommendation from someone, I was encouraged to visit the Valley of Fire state park outside Las Vegas, Nevada in 2011 - it sure did not disappoint! This was at the visitors center. The real action was out among the red rocks. But hey, grab some shade where you can! That desert sun is brutal!

Westminster Abbey dates back to 1060 in the heart of London. Famous for being the coronation church for the British Monarch since 1066 as well as numerous royal weddings (most recently William & Kate in 2011). Over 3,300 people have also been buried or commemorated here. To sum up, it's a big place!

This is the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ford is the only president from the state of Michigan. I was here last fall.
