The remnants of #HurricaneHilary here in the Klamath Basin are likely as good as one could hope for. I had light rain all night. This should have a huge impact on any wildfires that come under the storm (it has been very smoky here of late).

Those suggesting that teachers be armed are nuts. The gun would need to be secured so a child couldn't get it. Being able to quickly and accurately shoot to disarm another shooter takes vigorous and consistent training to maintain skills. Imagine doing that in a classroom filled with panicked kids.

A bit ago I slipped on a dog bone, one of the 20 dog toys littering the house. My foot slid with it underneath & I almost did the splits (at 58!), but the months of PT paid off & I stayed upright! I was admittedly distracted by my 1st-ever poutine, but it was a good reminder to be more careful.
