Add Serbia to the list of countries that took action after back-to-back mass shootings this month.

They weren't handpicked. They're the only people insane enough to attend a Trump rally, er, townhall.

Just because they found a way around gerrymandering doesn't mean they'll get around this one. We all need to vote in August and November.

While we're at it, can we follow the examples of Michigan and Wisconsin, come out in numbers, and reclaim back some states?

That is the impression but not the truth although I understand the point you're trying to make. Voter registration is 48% GOP, 38% Democrat, the rest are Independent. With such a closeness in the numbers, there is no reason for a 75% GOP supermajority except for gerrymandering. Ditto in WI and OH.

Welcome to Spoutible Yaroslava. It's still a bit quiet here as the community is still much smaller but growing. @Inpi has been here for a few days. I'll check in on your posts on the old site as well as here. Hugs from across the pond.

We've come a long way from seeing people this young marrying (or being forced to marry). I mean with the exception of Tennessee and Missouri where the GOP wants to take us back to these times.

Yes, 72% voted for Trump. Then the GOP after Trump rolls back the safety regulations which indirectly led to the disaster, bungle the response and bring people in for photo ops. And the people affected will vote 75% for them next year because they'll stick it to the libs. 😮😮

It's disturbing on so many levels. Journalist arrested. Norfolk Southern lobbying eliminated the need for brake safety enhancement which is a possible cause for the accident (while having billions in profits). Environmental disaster, now and for some time to come. Health concerns for the residents.

An example would be student loans. The counterpart is that we do have some good, younger candidates that could push us further forward - Buttigieg, Klobuchar among many. Right now he's the man for the job but he needs to make sure he has the right VP (whether Harris or not) for another run. 2/2

There's pros and cons for each side. I have no problem if he decides to run again. He's been very effective in getting things done. We'll see how he navigates these to years with a split Congress. I think there are also missed opportunities where who could have tried to move forward further. 1/2
