Abusers always hate it when you start standing up for yourself, and capitalism is an abusive extractive system. It's a ponzi scheme for the rich, and people are beginning to say "no more".

Dr. Lucky Tran @luckytran“I thought that 30 years of good science could address these problems. I was wrong. The top environmental problems are selfishness, greed and apathy, and to deal with these we need a cultural and spiritual transformation. And we scientists don’t know how to do that.” —Gus Speth04:17 PM - Mar 07, 2023

Hello there. My name is Elie Mystal. I am the Justice Correspondent at The Nation.
I post about my family, video games, and how to stop Republican judges who have taken over our country and their dystopian attempts to put women and minorities back in our place circa 1850.

So, when I was a kid, my father (who had a wee bit of a drinking issue) broke the family VCR. He returned home from a store the next day with a LaserDisc player... acting like breaking the VCR was all part of the plan.
My point is: I hope this new platform is not like LaserDiscs. :)

It makes me so frustrated that the bar is set so much higher for women because of outdated #patriarchical and #religious definitions of proper female behavior.

I worked Christy Smith's campaign 2018, 2020, 2022.
white women tell me later they voted Mike Garcia, a Desantis wannabe. Why? Smith wasn't sincere.

I appreciate @cbouzy creating this space. I also feel like it's up to us to build and maintain the community we want it to be, different from Twitter. In that spirit, I offer this: #SpoutibleCommunity to the tune of Auntie Dionne Warwick's "Walk On By".

Job searching is challenging and competitive. It requires a lot of effort, patience, and persistence. One way to approach job searching is by adopting a project manager attitude. What does it mean?

In response to Rita Kamel.
A project manager plans executes and closes projects. They ensure execution within the given timeline, budget, and quality standards. They also manage the resources, team members, and stakeholders involved in the project.

Now, let's apply this concept to job searching. You are responsible for planning, executing, and closing your job search project. You set goals, identify resources, create a plan, and execute it. You manage your time, energy, and efforts.

Here are some ways to adopt a project manager attitude in job searching:
1. Set clear goals: Define the type of job you want, the industry you want to work in, and the salary you want to earn. Write them down and keep them in front of you as a reminder.

2. Create a plan: Break down your job search into small tasks and create a timeline for each task. For example, you can set a goal to apply for a certain number of jobs each week, or attend networking events.

3. Manage your resources: These are your resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, and network. Invest time and effort in improving them, or seek help from a professional.

In response to Rita Kamel.
4. Track your progress: Track your progress and make adjustments if needed. If you are not getting the results you want, check your plan and make changes to improve it.

In response to Rita Kamel.
5. Stay motivated: Job searching can be a long and tedious process, and it's easy to get discouraged. Celebrate small wins, connect with other job seekers, or take breaks when you need them.
