Sexual content not being allowed on Spoutible beyond artistic nudity bc of the difficulty in moderating it is understandable but closing its doors to NSFW when queer NSFW artists in particular are losing their careers to concern trolls on Twt, the safety promised by Spoutible’s TOS doesn’t help us

Re: the survey that went out, at this time Spoutible not allowing sexual content has basically ensured that I don’t use it as my main social media source. No NSFW is a huge blow for bringing artists and fandom onboard, which is p much all the content I consume

Is there a vetting process for how newly discovered species are named or does the animal HAVE to be called whatever dumb shit the first guy publishes about it bc that’s what it looks like

Also let me correct myself, Hades was made by Supergiant, not Supermassive. Hades is way better than Supermassive could pull off

Hades is impressive for making its genre of game accessible to a broader audience. I NEVER would’ve played a game like it if the art, visual novel influences, dating sim nods, and voice acting hadn’t pulled me in. I notoriously dislike roguelikes but Hades hooked me and didn’t let go.

It’s also wild how easily the controls devote themselves to muscle memory. I think the first time I played Hades, it took me weeks to beat it, even with God Mode activated. I picked it back up a couple days ago and reached the final main story fight in 19 attempts.

I’ve been replaying Hades and it’s crazy how good it is. Supergiant Games really perfected the art of replayability. I was trying to explain to somebody how the game was played and I realized how repetitive it sounded, while in reality it does everything possible to NOT be repetitive.

I made an apple cake. It was my first time baking anything from scratch and I’m really happy with how it came out.

It’s crazy watching my mom go from using a wheelchair to doing modified lunges with a walker over the course of less than a week. I really thought she’d be in that wheelchair for the rest of her life. She even got up and danced, even if it was just a little shimmying. My gratitude is immeasurable.

I’ve done a lot of growing since my mom got sick. I feel like a different person than I was before. I took on so much responsibility that I never had before—and I did great. I turn 30 tomorrow and somehow I only just now feel like a grown up for the first time.

Her being able to walk on her own is bizarre. She hasn’t been able to walk unassisted in months, with it taking 20+ minutes to get her onto and off of the toilet. In contrast, it’s like she loaded a save file from October. I half expect this to all be a dream.

I keep looking back at her to see if she’s still okay. After having gotten a few quarts of blood, it’s completely night and day. She’s back to who she was before she lost her mobility. She’s walking around and everything.

My mom was discharged from the hospital, it turns out that nearly all of the issues she’s experienced for the past six months were the result of severe anemia. The attending physician told her she had the lowest hemoglobin that hospital had ever seen. She was down to 1/3 of her blood.

My mom went to the hospital today because she was feeling dizzy. Turns out her hemoglobin level was low. The normal range is 12 to 15, I don’t recall the actual scale of measurement. Anyway hers was 4 on arrival and so far we have no idea why.

My mom lost her ability to walk/stand unassisted around Christmas so I’ve been taking care of her full time. I was not a person who cooked before this; I never cooked a full meal until this past Christmas Eve. Everything worked out, thank God, and I’ve been cooking daily since then. Tonight’s dinner

I think caring about what people think of you is a normal behavior. Humans are apes. Instinct is undeniable. Caring about conformity is necessary for functional social groups. I also think being a Christian and believing in evolution are two great tastes that taste great together. #christianity

I can’t be a good queer bc I’m a Christian and I can’t be a good Christian bc I’m a queer. I kind of get by just thinking of the constant feeling of conflict as something to be endured bc while i wish queers of faith were better accepted, Christians are out here lynching people #christianity

Both important facets of my life are at constant war and I feel like I’m always being pulled on. It’s weird because I was a militant atheist for the first 18 or 19 years of my life. It’s not like I’ve been brainwashed to believe this stuff, I didn’t even come into it until I was grown #christianity

I exist mostly at the cross section of being queer and delighting in my Christian faith. I get straight up caught by the Holy Ghost. I do Bible study. It’s great but I’m lonely and always feeling like I can’t belong anywhere. #christianity

Watching older anime is fun bc you can see what the newer animations are referencing

Yura’s whole episode very clearly influenced the web-spinner vampire near the end of Season 3 of Castlevania

After Kagome first gets back to the modern day she’s like “oh fuck yeah i didn’t want to be a hero” and Inuyasha literally chases her through space time like “you’re not getting out of this that fucking easy”
