Raymond Chandler would have been 135 years old today.
He didn't begin writing till he was 44, but he left us 27 years worth of wonderful prose.

Republican overreach on the state level is horrifying. Thank goodness the people of PA were spared.
Zeketayler @ZeketaylerIf Republicans in Pennsylvania had kept their House majority, aside from constitutional abortion restrictions, raising the voting age to 21 was on the docket. Despite the 26th amendment in the US Constitution, it could have temporarily stripped young voters of their rights during pivotal elections.02:50 PM - Apr 07, 2023

Guess I won't use ChatGPT for the web site author bio! Among other mistakes, it added years to my age (ouch!), gave me a BA from a school I didn't attend and an award I didn't win... and KILLED ME OFF ON MARCH 22, 2022!

Am I the last person online to discover ChatGPT? I love it. I ask a question and instead of a google page of mostly useless links, I get paragraphs of information, citations, thoughts (if AI has thoughts), clearly written and presented. It's not R. Daneel but it's positronic enough for me right now.

A day ago, I'd never heard of best-selling British writer Peter Grainger. Now I'm engrossed in his 1st DC Smith book--dry wit, light-touch banter, refreshingly non-emo detective. Google compares his style to le Carré's. No one's really in le Carré's league but I'm glad there are 9 more in the series

If you've notified me and I've seemed to ignore you, it's because Notifications is wonky. Red dot is always there, but clicking on it leads to a page saying I have no notifications--all my previous ones have vanished. I'm sure this'll be fixed soon, just wanted people to know I'm not ignoring them
