Not fair that we’ve had to live through Dumbledore dying three times. RIP Michael Gambon (and Richard Harris).

When Republicans are in power, they rack up giant deficits, mainly by cutting taxes on corporations and the wealthy.
Then when Democrats take the reins, Republicans blame them for being big spenders.
It’s always the same story.

Frodo is on a quest
Alberto Pastor @albertopastor"A battle-scarred male humpback whale named Frodo has completed the longest- known migration for his species. Not only did Frodo set the distance record, he’s also flipped the script on what we think of as a humpback’s typical migration patterns."

Historians will ultimately be able to attribute the downfall of America solely to its abject refusal to cut its rooting in racism and white supremacy.

Social media users are falsely claiming that Governor Katie Hobbs (D-AZ) has been “indicted” by local lawmakers. No such indictment has been issued-the state legislature isn’t even authorized to issue formal accusations of criminal wrongdoing. https://apnews.com/article...

I love having this place to read and interact while I am trying to sort through years of my life, which mostly consists of collectibles and things to cook with lol. Spoutible is a good place for real.

Trump was investigated and prosecuted FOR FIFTY YEARS — he was a target back in the 70s and 80s and 90s and 2000s but he bullied and bought off prosecutors and got away with everything.
What changed?
Trump finally ran into prosecutors who weren’t scared — or for sale.

Very sad this morning to learn of the passing of the great Michael Gambon, who was so wonderful as Professor Dumbledore in the "Harry Potter" movies. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Hello, all! I want to thank those Spouters out there who have followed me. A lot has happened since my last Spout here - I have purchased a 14-inch M2 Pro MacBook Pro, and I love it. I have also gotten an iPad Mini, which is my first iPad ever, and I'm super excited about it.

A question for all you computer enthusiasts out there: 14-inch vs. 16-inch laptop - which do you prefer, and why?

Still reeling from the recent losses of Fleetwood Mac keyboardist/vocalist Christine McVie, Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist (and founding member) Gary Rossington, and original Brand X keyboard player Robin Lumley. Those of us who came of age as rock fans in the 80s are losing our heroes. It really sucks.

Very sad to learn of the passing of legendary saxophonist Wayne Shorter. He lived a long, extraordinary life, and those of us who loved the music he created with Weather Report, Miles Davis, and others, are all richer for it. May he rest in peace.

Stayed up late last night watching the coverage of the MSU shooting. I'm heartbroken for everyone affected by it, but also very glad that such events didn't seem to happen back when I was in college. It almost feels like that was a different world, and maybe in a way, it was.

On social media like Spoutible, without a curated algorithmic timeline, think of likes as a message to the original Spoutie that you like their content. Think of echoes as a message to other Spouties that they should check out the content. It's not like the bird app.

I don't watch a lot of football. The Super Bowl is actually the only game I ever watch, and then mostly because of the hype over the new commercials - but I have to say that last night's game was probably the best football game I've ever seen. Yes, it was even better than the commercials.
