Gross. It's really a shame that traitors are able to co-opt the flag like that.

I actually think Trump has "helped" in this. Because of his cult of personality, I don't see a U.S. flag and immediately assume the worst. That's reserved for Trump flags, which are disturbingly common in upstate NY.

Ironically I woke up this morning to see that Tweetdeck had cleaned up their interface but also kicked me out of all my shared accounts.

I don’t know him well, but I think he is a smart enough guy to appreciate the adaptation process and be satisfied by a good, thematically sound take.

I haven't had a chance to sit and watch yet, so this is great to hear. Gene is such a nice guy, I really wanted this to be a success for him.

That guy is going to be marked as a chump for the rest of his career. That entrance interview where he shit on everyone including Clint Eastwood was one of the biggest self-inflicted injuries I've ever seen from management.

Remember in May of last year, when I tweeted that The CW was going to stop being a safe haven for genre shows, and would instead focus on low-cost unscripted and syndicated shows? I remember...because somebody from the network wrote me a series of very angry emails denying it.

Their plan is just to hope that making it difficult to vote is enough of an advantage since their base is 87-year-old retirees.

For sure. I know there are certain fans that get upset at this kind of thing, but I would rather self-effacing honesty as opposed to blowing meaningless smoke up the internet’s collective ass any day.

Except it won't, because CNN won't offer any meaningful pushback. They have already demonstrated that they are willing to platform him for money; what makes you think they'll do anything to upset his delicate sensibilities?

It's because Twitter isn't real life, and corporate media have a vested interest in normalizing Trump

I'm aware. In this case, it was a catalog title and the only "new" thing was the remaster so I did not realize it was pre-street.

Yeah, I'm going to start now. The practicality for me was all about the fact that I cover TV for a living and buy a lot of complete seasons/series, which don't redeem most places.

Also, if a guy introduces himself as "Trump's favorite author," he fundamentally fails to grasp that Trump does not read.

Fun fact about this: I recently told Fishburne that this was one of my all-time favorite line-reads and that I use this image as a response on the internet all the time. He was surprised and amused.

Inherent in that starting point is the suggestion that trans people are somehow "less than" other influencers, who can get a brand deal without having to justify it ahead of time. So even if it's not OPENLY bigoted, the bigotry is buried in the question you're "just asking."

I love the concept in a world without the internet. Like, I love the idea of having this kind of tech available to muck around with, and for creative people to do weird shit with. But it's inevitable that it will become horrifying and abusive in practice.
