#SewingUpdate Am mostly done the 1930s blouse I've been working on. Took some time and guidance from the instructor to get the fit right, but we got there. Just gotta do the sleeves (which have WILD gathers), hem, and put on the buttons #sewing #vintagesewing

I've finally finished taping together the pattern for the 1930s blouse I'm making. 50 pages.
#PleaseClap

Next step is to trace out the right size so I never have to tape this pattern up again. Sewing has so many mandatory non-sewing activities.

First online #sewing class done and it was AWESOME. I learned so much about adjusting patterns for fit. A super useful skill for those of us (most of us!) whose bodies are not shaped exactly like the pattern was drafted for. And now I get to practice a bit on my own pattern.

Went on a nice walk today, doing errands. My Runkeeper told me that this was my 28th fastest 3-5km walk. The enthusiasm of the message was extremely funny.

I'm totally prepared to be patient with this site through some growing pains. Yeah, there are bugs and things are slow, but I'm focusing on the potential.

I also love that to post, we click SPOUT OFF.

It's still kinda secret, so only posting here, but I've been offered a job I'm very excited about inside my current organization. Paperwork is getting sorted.

Long story short, I've been unhappy in my current role. Decided in late Dec to make a change. It feels like a weight has been lifted.
