I am sure Elon will reverse course soon, because all he is doing is driving traffic to the alternatives.

I liked Twitter. It connected incredibly different people, organisations, walks of life all over the world. There were all opinions, lots of great people and lots of idiots. Just like real life. And there were always people who helped when you were pressed.

There was an attempt to limit hate, which also often didn't succeed. Now? It doesn't really make sense if I can't read the tweets of the people and organisations I follow, nor the tweets of those who follow me. I can't open trends, I can't open tweets ...

can't look at pictures because I've scrolled over several pages.
The tweets I can still see are several hours old and always stay the same. The freedom of the internet, the freedom of expression is just a chimera here. Predatory capitalism and the radical right have won.

It's not about data, bots or technology I think. It's about politics and money. I have paid internet services that I use, but trickery, indoctrination, coercion, opacity like Twitter - it's not worth it.

It's not going to work, Elon Musk. You'll keep a small group of certain people, but no real cross-section. Too bad - I liked Twitter and would have paid if it wasn't for such shitty methods that make people lose all trust in you and your methods.
