Seriously. Why are there so many mass shootings in this country? If it were just about access to guns, there would be many alternative mass violence events in other countries, i.e., pipe bombs, vehicle homicides. Guns need to be regulated. But something else is going on, also.

You're overestimating the ability of the average person to put an IED together that won't blow up in their own face.

Guns are a cheap, safe (for the user) means of creating mass carnage, and not having them available at every big box store is the reason other countries don't have this problem.

Guns make killing impersonal.
You stand far away. You don't have to look them in the eye. You don't have to feel the knife popping through their cartilage. You don't have to feel your car crushing their bones.

It makes it clean, easy (just squeeze the trigger) and impersonal.

In America we’re fed hatred 24/7 and constantly told we’re “under attack”

My guess is the US has mental health issues in line with the rest of the world. We aren’t outpacing the world.

The US has a shooting issue unparalleled to the rest of the world.

Easy access to guns is a large part of the issue. We have more guns than actual citizens.

It’s utterly depress

The access is to easy. Maybe lack of quality health care. Mental health isn't prioritized. Has anyone done a study on the rise of social media and mass shootings?
