I asked the Spoutible community about adult content on this platform, and the users overwhelmingly said they didn't want it.

I'm not sure I want to stay. Spoutible touted itself as a true twitter replacement, a place we could all be safer.

Then it appears to have left sex workers, kinksters, and other groups at specific risk of harassment & abuse online, to fend for themselves on twitter.

Disappointingly judgemental!

Probably been said: This could be solved by the following two steps: 1. Allow viewers to OPT IN to seeing adult content. 2. Allow content sharers to OPT IN to sending adult content. Once sharing is turned on make it permanent for that account, but allow viewing to be toggled. @cbouzy

This will help safeguard against accidently sending adult content to the masses who did not opt in. Keeping both options off by default will also ensure folks are required to consent to the content, rather than to be presented adult content from the start.
