The Wired article talks about me using my savings to fund Spoutible, and that is true. I wanted to put my money where my mouth is and launch Spoutible without VCs. With the help of the Spoutible community, we made that happen. I also opted not to monetize with ads until the platform was stable.

I purposely avoid VCs because I don't want what happened to Twitter to happen to Spoutible. I want us to stay true to our core mission. But running Spoutible is a costly endeavor. We have all the expenses like any other social media startup, with significantly fewer resources than our competitors.

So a thought where spoutible can be a major player infactual journalism free from corporate influence. Spoutible with say$0.05 per article. Spout get 1 cent and vetted (not Nazi spouting) investigative journalist get $0.04 thus raising money keeping spoutible and journalists independent.
In response to Christopher Bouzy.
