Star Trek. I've been a Trekkie since the show came out in the 60s. Once thought we might be heading that way, but reality isn't quite working out.

I chose Star Wars because of my 7 year old grandson. He loves Star Wars Legos, Star Wars figures, Star Wars video games… he would choose Star Wars. And I want to be in that universe with him. ❤️

Well, that took me all day to make up my mind about. I don't know anything about Gundam, despite loving anime, but the other two I know and Star Wars is just too much going on. So Star Trek it is, I could always just hang out in the library.

Trekker forever, here. Roddenberry gave us a brilliant vision to shape our worldview (once they got rid of the mini-skirts and women in then-traditional helper roles)... also a huge fan of Galaxy Quest - I watch it every time I need to laugh

It's a choice between a post-scarcity Utopia, a galaxy caught in an endless cycle of fascism where the physical embodiment of evil can "somehow" resurrect himself, and a franchise I'm honestly not familiar with so I wouldn't risk it.

Yeah, personally I have a greater chance of living a long, happy life of exploration in Starfleet... Or I can just eat crab boil at Siskos after a day of drawing & writing. 😁

The combination of replicators and dilithium crystals (matter/anti-matter energy generation) make for a decent post-scarcity society

I'm down with that.

Plus it seems to be largely religiosity free which is an even bigger draw.

All this. Also the lack of galaxy wide fascism that seems to keep rearing its ugly head.

Truth. Plus If you live under the thumb of the Galactic Empire, if you're not a part of the "upper crust" life is oppressive (#Andor).

Star Wars to visit (too many wars going on), Star Trek to live (they solved all of our present day problems, after all!)

[And don't know anything about the last one, so just ignoring it.]

That’s true. But remember, Gene was building his world in the 60’s. The Real World has gotten a few shades darker since then.

You mean in all three? I'd say Gundam Wing and Star Wars have a lot more explosions than Star Trek. Still, there's always Space Odyssey 2001...but I didn't think of it while making the poll because I was hungry. LOL!
