Twitter wasn't Twitter when it started. Spoutible still hasn't become the Spoutible it will be. We're all too focused on speed, not focused enough on quality. That's why Threads won't catch on; it was done in a hurry, to catch a wave, not be a solid platform.

For nearly a year, we have observed individuals chasing after the next Twitter high. Initially, Mastodon seemed to be the promising choice. However, the initial excitement quickly faded. Then came Post News, which garnered significant attention from journalists who claimed it would be hard to beat.

I disagree. Threads has reached over 10 million users in a day. It is what it is.

Seems to me we may end up with multiple choices rather than one clear winner. And that’s probably a good thing. Monopolies are problematic.
