Am I eligible to be honorary #Canadian ? G-grandfather John Gerrie emigrated from Scotland, became US citizen 1906. Per undated newspaper obit, he was son of Forbes Gerrie of "first concession, West Garafraxa" and "an old time resident of Fergus" and "will be remembered by several Fergus people."

Deep Canadian cultural knowledge, or a deep devotion to silliness/shenanigans would seem to be all you need, around here. I'm pretty well versed in Canadian music, I think that's what put me over the border.

I used to be able to play "Four Strong Winds" on the guitar. And one of my grandsons plays hockey. Does that count?

I'm Canadian so I believe that gives me the right to honourarily grant you citizenship. (You'll just have to get used to our spelling of things though.) Like honour for starters.
