Seeking legal aid for a friend: anyone handy with subpoenaing or compelling medical records of a state inmate. Can he get them, can a POA get them? They keep jerking him around on an ordered surgery and he needs to know what’s really been ordered. He’s indigenous if that helps.

Informed consent is the process in which a health care provider educates a patient about the risks, benefits, and alternatives of a given procedure or intervention. The patient must be competent to make a voluntary decision about whether to undergo the procedure or intervention.

Being an inmate should be irrelevant here. In my opinion, such as it is. He doesn't need a lawyer here. Refuse any procedure until you can give informed consent.
