I've been within a stone's throw of finishing the last book in the Dark Tower series for weeks!

I did not bring it with me on vacation because I didn't want to carry a 7 pound book when I could bring 5 others instead, even though I was about 250 pages from the end.

So, now in the short 30 minutes or so a day I read in the morning I keep going back - it feels so dreadfully slow!

I just want to finish so I can move on to The Colorado Kid.

I've been doing a full read (and re-read in many cases) of King's novels in chronological order and I've been living in Mid World for most of 2023.

I'm eager to move back to King's other work. I haven't loved the series, but I know it's many folks fave.

I've re-read that series at least a half dozen times.

Been a huge King fan since Grade 7, when I read Carrie, my first King book.

So far behind on his books now, I'll never catch up!

That's part of why I started my read through. Also because I was looking at my bookshelf thinking I had to cull some books and I didn't want to get rid of my King books, so I figured I'd better read them.

Of course now I have more King books - the opposite outcome I was planning!
