I asked the Spoutible community about adult content on this platform, and the users overwhelmingly said they didn't want it.

I'm not sure I want to stay. Spoutible touted itself as a true twitter replacement, a place we could all be safer.

Then it appears to have left sex workers, kinksters, and other groups at specific risk of harassment & abuse online, to fend for themselves on twitter.

Disappointingly judgemental!

Asking what people want is gonna get a different answer than asking what they want to ban.

Maybe a minority go looking for porn, but often a majority will refuse to suppress the freedom to engage with it.

Be honest with yourself -and with us- about what you're really asking.

The majority of the community made a choice that there would be no porn here and the owner of the website responded supportively. That doesn't mean sex workers can't promote themselves here; it means the content they share on site is limited.

What is your issue?

I stated my issue clearly at the top. Please read it again.

Why do so many people believe they have the right to have what they want over the wishes of others? It's not @cbouzy responsibility to provide a platform for people to market their sex work.

That argument swings both ways. What makes your desire for a porn free platform a higher priority than anyone else's desire to include it? Sure, the guy can do what he wants with his network, he's sitting at the controls. But he should be honest about that. Not lean on imagined consensus
