Open and respectful communication is key. ☮️❤️🇺🇸

If you are white and feel uncomfortable when a BIPOC tells you you’re wrong about something, instead of acting like our white ancestors and get angry/offended, sit with it. Think about it. Read a book written by a BIPOC person on the topic. Then teach other white people what you learned.

In response to That70sGal.
Is it acceptable to be white and have ancestors that didn’t arrive in America until the 1900’s?

Because my family was in Italy until around 1912. They had their own problems that didn’t include owning slaves.

Many families come from ancestors who immigrated to the U.S. Mine also came through Ellis Island during the turn of the 20th Century. The difference is they came of their own free will not as chattle in chains. And the white color of their skin opened many doors that still remain closed to others.
