There's talk bubbling about Michigan's governor, Gretchen Whitmer, running for president in 2028. I'm all for it. What do you think?

Well, I asked for people's thoughts, and that's what I got. Thanks for all the comments. I'm always trying to learn and grow.

I do love Whitmer (as a Michigander who has seen our state at the best it's ever been), but I see that my support for her detracted from the support Kamala Harris deserves.

And what if VP Harris decided not to run? Or died? I interpreted this as a hypothetical as to whether Gov Whitmer has the stuff, not whether she would/could beat the current VP

I appreciate your willingness to learn. Perhaps the first question should be what made you discount Kamala Harris in the first place? That's where the introspection should start.

I wasn’t assuming the VP always gets the nomination and was caught up in my support of my governor who is changing so many things for the better in my state.

i consider Gretchen worthy to the task with the exception of foreign affairs. In a primary though i would vote Kamala in deference to that and being so close to the “helm” already. Right now at my age i am concentrating on 2024 as the most pivotal point in our history since Civil War. ❤️💙✊🏻
